When I got my 8 week old puppy she had a lot of energy that I was not prepared for and from a referral I contacted Debbie at Balanced K9, after an 8 week one on one class she learned all the basic commands to finally be on her way to a well balanced pup. Wow Deb training is paying off. Brought for very long walk with lots of garbage and lots of distractions. Told her leave it and she stopped and kept walking. Gotten so much better. Now she is too friendly with every dog lol

A year ago we had an addition to our family when Mallaig, a very energetic Black Labrador bounced into our lives.

Balanced K9 offered great help, advice, tips, and of course, plenty of patience with Mallaig's training and helped shape him into a well behaved member of the family.

Mallaig's journey is ongoing, but with walks 3 times a week with his mate, Connor of Balanced K9, Mallaig continues to become calmer and well behaved.

Link needed puppy manners and socialization manners when it came to other dogs. We contacted Debbie at balanced K9 for private in home classes and she was amazing. We are now doing level 2 classes in Georgetown with her groups.

One thing that was really important to me was that whoever we went with was good about training the kids to train the dog and Debbie hit that mark it was less of me having to train the dog and more of our family training the dog.

Honestly the list of people I can vouch for as good people is pretty small and Debbie’s on that list.

I can't say enough good things about working with Balanced K9!  My dog Bear just completed large breed puppy school, and their guidance has helped him come a long way.  Class sizes are small, so you and your dog are really able to enjoy personalized attention.  The socialization time in every class helped Bear learn how to interact with dogs and people comfortably; it took a few weeks, but he came out of his shell.  He is a much more confident dog!  Thank you so much for everything!

The Obedience Level 1 course was a great foundation for training my large breed puppy. I found each lesson very effective once applied at home and the instruction in class was very easy to follow and remember. The socialization part of the class was also very beneficial for my puppy. I'm looking forward to continuing our training journey with Balanced K9.

My puppy loved every minute of this course. She was such a yappy barking chihuahua mix and now she actually listens. Saw their ads on Facebook and thought I’d give them a try. 2 courses through Petsmart and just didn’t feel like I was getting anywhere.

Great communication prior to Debbie coming and doing an assessment. I chose 1 on 1 training as my dog didn’t need to do the basics again.. I was able to focus on specific issues (walking and reactivity).

Still a work in progress but that’s on me to continue with what I’ve been taught.

Looking forward to going to the next level in a group setting.

As a first time dog owner taking the beginner class, I felt very comfortable in the training class and on a day that I was unable to make it in they went as far as to record the session for me and helped me get back on track for the next class. Very friendly and helpful group. I definitely feel more confident being able to train my dog after taking their classes. My dog also felt very comfortable in the classes and by the end of it she was begging to get in the car to go to class!!

I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for training classes, beginner or advanced.
